Rochester, Centralia, Chehalis, Napavine, Tumwater, and others within Lewis and Thurston counties as scheduling allows.
-
Yes. Parent and caregiver involvement is one of the strongest predictors of lasting change and generalization of skills learned. Parent collaboration is required for all families receiving services and is a requirement for insurance to pay for your child’s therapy. Parent training is also offered as a stand-alone service.
-
The length of services varies for every individual. Therapy continues as long as it is beneficial and aligned with the individual’s goals. As skills increase, services are adjusted to promote greater independence. Fading out of services is done in a methodical, gradual way with slow decrease in intensity as each child moves towards age-appropriate functioning and behavior.
-
No. While ABA can address behaviors that interfere with learning or safety, the primary goal of therapy is to build meaningful skills that improve independence, social communication, and daily living activities.
-
Meaningful learning only happens when individuals feel safe, respected, and engaged. I carefully observe for both verbal and non-verbal communication for signs of discomfort. I never “wait it out” or “push through” challenging behavior to force compliance. I strongly believe in the importance of co-regulation and showing children that we will be there for them even when they are emotional and going through a hard time.
Client choice is woven throughout therapy by offering choices, following interests, and involving children in their own goal-setting whenever developmentally appropriate.

My waitlist varies throughout the year and depends on factors such as your location, scheduling needs, and insurance authorization requirements. We strive to begin services as soon as possible and will keep you informed throughout the intake process. Often, I am able to accommodate beginning parent collaboration and support only while you wait for direct therapy times to become available.
Currently, I am accepting new patients with little no no wait time anticipated.
